The problems with this team start with Reinsdorf. He will not allow spending on big time free agents. Up until the draft rules were changed, Sox were always one of the teams that spent the least amount on the draft. As Reinsdorf would not allow the resources to get good minor league talent on position players. I agree front office needs to go. Fresh eye's need to be brought in. But Reinsdorf will not bring in the right personnel who can run it. That would require paying top dollar. Something he does not do.

I'd hate to see it but trading Sale or Q would at least show that the FO has some sense of direction.

I do think it's safe to say they won't trade either in the near term because making hugely bold moves like that has never been the org's MO.

I am starting to wonder when is enough of the narrative "Team will compete with the core of Sale, Q, Eaton, Abreu, Rodon, and the newly added to the list Fulmer"...potentially 4 years in a row of losing seasons with that narrative. Something is broken here, and I am on the bandwagon KW and Hahn need to go. ChiSox needs a new strategy (Hahn and KW obviously isn't working). Take the Indians, they have a good core of young pitchers, and they are winning. Why the Sox couldn't do that having as well, a very good young core of pitchers.

Right now, I would trade various players for young controllable pieces that could be useful in 2017/2018. I would send away Frazier, Robertson, Melky, Duke, and Lawrie. I hardly believe the future of the ChiSox from 2017 and on, involves any of those players.

Another thing that is killing this team is the insistent strategy of spreading around the spending in mediocre maybes players. Go get someone with a strong presence. Stop the half-assing. Sign Cespedes next year!!! No matter the cost. You can't win with a bunch of mediocre players surrounding a core of good controllable players.
