This is all about his contract. He signed a low-ball deal based on his health concerns, but also the vision of how this team was going to be built into a contender. Years later and they have been nowhere near contention with him and now he’s the guy they will get the king’s ransom for based in part because of his contract. In short, he feels he was duped. The downside of team friendly contracts is they can be a real cause for dissention.

What a mess this group is.
