The Sox should trade any player possible. The time for rebuild way overdue. However, with this front office and owner, I have no faith in what they would receive back for any deal. The current state of this franchise is "damned if we do, damned if we don't." They have the modern day "Al Davis", in Reinsdorf. Who's ideas have long sensed past in baseball and in the NBA. Their professional scouting department has no clue on what is major league talent. They have one of the worst rated farm systems in baseball. Due in part to 1. A poor minor league scouting department. (but this may be fixed, based on what I saw in this years draft.) 2. Until the recent changes in the draft, Sox were one of the teams that spent the least amount of money in the draft. This went on for over a decade. Due in part to Reinsdorf being cheap. 3. Their two main baseball decision makers, WIlliams and Hahn, have what is looks to be a difference in philosophy on running a team. 4. Speaking of Williams, in any other organization, he would have been fired long ago for his actions. But since he is Reinsdorf's "yes" man and Reinsdorf' petulance complacency. He has remained in his position and will continue to do so as long as Reinsdorf and his ownership group remain in charge. I can continue but why bother. At the end of the day, until Reinsdorf dies and or the team is sold, the status quo will stay in place = mediocrity will rein.
