I guess what bothers me most is that there was information on BP, FanGraphs, etc. that showed Shields was having issues last year in San Diego. They of a supposedly pitcher friendly ballpark. Along come the White Sox, who evidently didn’t know about this information or had it and chose to get Shields anyway. He and his struggles come to the AL where there is an extra bat in the lineup and he also arrives at a pitcher friendly Chicago ballpark on top of it.
