The moves the last several years were short-term band-aids. Done craftily, it was in the vein of win-now but with limited resources. It was doomed to fail and often "smoke in mirrors". I was never buying it. Sure, maybe they could have gotten lucky and it all comes together over the course of the last 5 years under a reborn Laroche, breakout season from Avi, or a "finally figured it out" Beckham. Truth is, there were warts and holes all over this team and there weren't enough band-aids and gauze to stop the hemorrhaging. Words can't describe how excited I am for the rebuild. Personally, I'd like more position player prospects as we stink at player development but I don't care... as Seth Rollins would say "Rebuild, Redesign, Reclaim". Tear this B to the ground.

Early Mags was fun to watch in RF. Running back and forth from the dugout to his position he always had the biggest grin on his face. Like he could not believe his good fortune that he was in the big leagues.

I remember some make-up doubleheaders where there were 2,000 people in the stands for the 4pm game. You could yell "Hey Mags!" and he'd have no trouble picking out exactly who it was that said it and wave back. Now we'll be able to yell "IN!!!" to Avi and see if he listens.

My favorite thing to do during the semi-rebuild in the late 90's was to sit in the bleachers on half price night and try to figure out what each White Sox executive listed in the media guide was responsible for. Thankfully, that rebuild wasn't as long as the list of executives.
