He’s batted leadoff enough this spring that he’s seen major league pitchers, and he’s hit. Against the Dodgers he was the only Sox player to get hits off Kenta Maeda.

Of May, Leury, and Bourjos, the one getting hits off nobodies is Leury. My guess is the Sox wanted to send him to Tampa instead of Bourjos, but the Rays aren’t foolish enough to take him.
