The Sox are not going to make a play for any of the bigger name free agents this offseason.

As far as Collins goes, he looks like he’s made some adjustments since bottoming out last month. The hitch in his swing isn’t as pronounced as it was earlier in the year. Getting him to Birmingham now is a good idea.
