During the podcast, the hosts talked about Mike Pelfrey as if he’s likely to be in the rotation next year in light of Rodon’s shoulder troubles. However, Pelfrey is in the final year of the two-year contract he signed with the Tigers prior to 2016. Unless I’m mistaken, and the Sox actually signed him through 2018, I can’t for the life of me see why they would bring him back.
